Nurse paused for a moment, rubbing her temple slowly before nodding to herself. Right, don't want him to hurt anyone... but better not tell him that, don't wanna hurt his feelings. "Steath is really necesary, we have to be as quiet as possible," she whispered to Burk, "That means taking off anything that will make extra noise... paticularly metal..." she trailed off, eyeing Burk's sword.

About that time, Burk too heard a voice in his head.

"Are you really going to let her boss you around? That's YOUR sword. If she thinks you're so clumsy, maybe she can just quietly take it from you!"



"Yeah, that's right," Burk muttered to himself, clearly annoyed as he replied to Nurse, "Listen, I might not be Cerys or Nevara, but I get by just fine. I think I can hold my metal, thanks."

Nurse sighed and glared at Burk, "Listen, you're a danger with that sword, swing it the wrong way and the enemy won't be the only one sporting some new hurts. I think you should leave it with me, for safety of course," she said, her glare switching to what she hoped was a winning smile.

"I think I already kinda gave us away," Burk rubbed the back of his neck with a laugh, "Maybe we should worry less about the sword and more about where the enemy is."

"Besides," he smiled warmly, "I don't want to fight with you."

Nurse shook her head as if to shake away that thought, turning to smile brightly at Burk. "You're right, hun, now is definitely not the time to be arguing. Shouldn't have doubted you anyway," she said, her smile becoming more seductive, "Besides, I'm sure you know how to handle your sword."

"Well, this is cute," Jacen muttered as he stepped out of the shadows and drew his rapier, Cecielia at his side, "But fortunately, so do I. En guarde!"

Meanwhile, Cerys, Zeaken, and Light were running down yet another stone corridor in the castle when, turning a corner, they suddenly ran into an old friend...

Coming around the corner, looking a little more battle scarred than they had last seen him,

"Well look who finally decided to show up... what took you guys long enough, couldnt find me back in hell so you just left me back there?"

Looking at the group with a look of disdain, and not too friendly eyes,

"So we made a trip there to make sure everyone left there alive but i guess that when you rescued Knux and Tal, it was all done and over."

"The old one said you had been lost," Brother Light looked up at the minotaur with guilt in his eyes, "Had we known..."

Looking with a littlebit of sarcastic shock towards Lights words,

"Oh so me not being there when you guys left wasnt much of a clue... That would go to figure with you, i would have at least thought someone would have at least waited to see if i had arrived, or had even looked for me when i didnt arrive. But no you all went on out of hell once you freed your other friends... "

Grasping the hilt of the sword but leaving it hilted at his side,

"Seems that once you completed getting them out of there, you didnt care who else was left behind, did any of you decide to wait once you could have left hell, or did you all go running your merrily way through the gates to get out of there."

"It's no good," Zeaken stepped forward, drawing his crystalline blade and looking to Azan with sad eyes, "He has been too tainted by the poison of hate to be rescued by words alone."

The nightmare played out once more. The apocalyptic vision that spelled certain death for them all. Only this time, having conquered her fears, Kaylea got a good look at her tormentor.

He emitted a golden aura only from his eyes, hands, feet, and heart.

Suddenly, she woke up!

"No." she whispers sitting bolt upright "He's found and assimilated all of them..."

not hearing any responce from Knuckles like she expected she looks around the room, not finding him she hastily goes through her morning rituals before leaving the cabin tward the deck in serch of her chosen. 'Might as well start at top and work my way down.'

suddenly fox materializes on deck near the wheel expecting to find Zeaken at the helm, instead finding a random crewman. 'of all the times to be taking a brteak!'

"Where's Zeaken!" She barks out to no one in particular.

"They couldn't find you and went down to the castle below," the crewman informed her.

"Damn it!" she screamsin exasperation "Of all the hair brained things to do! Gahhhhhhh!"

At about that time Kaylea comes running up "They've left!? No... This is bad. Very bad!" she says with panic in her voice "We need to go, NOW!" turning to the crewman at the wheel "Do you know where exactly they went in?"

"There, there... and there," he motioned to the exact locations defined in the plan, "Your friend in the red jacket be at the first."

"THEY SPLIT UP!" she shreeks "HOW THE HELL COULD THEY BE THAT STUPID!"

turning to Fox "I'm going to Knuckles first, you can follow if you want." she stated extending her hand to offer a side jump.

With a nod and a monosylobic afermation she reaches out to take the red-heads hand.

"Let's do this" she says and both of them vanish in the blink of an eye.

Burk took a fighting stance alongside Nurse, drawing his sword with a furious scowl, "I'm gonna cut you in half!!"



"Like I've never heard that before!," Jacen laughed, charging in!

Meanwhile, Kaylea and Fox shadowported into a strange, technologically advanced room full of haphazard metal bridges and vertical tubes of green liquid with what appeared to be sleeping monsters floating inside.

A siren was going off when they first arrived, bathing the room in a strobing red glow, and only one passage was not sealed off.
