What should have been an easy win for the sultry swordswoman quickly turned deadly as Eldritch spun his scythe into a steady parry with the automatic precision of a machine, the dazzling flames of her sword dance having no apparent effect at all.

Next up, it was Fox's turn to have a go at the devilish doll. After a few unsuccessful attempts to grab the razor sharp scythe from his hands, she finally got her timing right, then made a sharp thrust through his forearm, but the worst was yet to come as the juices oozing from the wound sparked with an arcane energy, backfiring, her final blow cracking right through the plating on his cheek, but again to the same recoiling effect.

"Did you think I would just roll over and die like the others?," Eldritch laughed haughtily as Ami approached near enough for him to grab her, both dolls glowing with an ethereal white light, "I am the ultimate cybernetic organism, and now, I will complete my destiny!!"

With that, the room was overtaken by a blinding light. When it faded, Eldritch had transformed again. His appearance remained the same, but it was clear by the sheer magnitude of his aura that his powers had grown.

Time was growing short, and the two heroines chances of victory were growing slim.

Back on the Sunset Arrow, Kaylea and Fox were reunited with Knuckles, Tal, Cellus, Nurse, Burk, Cerys, Zeaken, and the recently revived Brother Light. Last, but not least, a new figure was among their merry crew; a figure that no one was very happy to see.



"Hey babe," Knuckles grinned as Kaylea resurfaced, "You're just in time. Now that we've taken out Feusang's watchdogs, we're ready to go after the man himself ...hey, you look worried. Sure you're up for this?"

"Yes, I'll be fine." Kaylea said gratful for her concern "We have another problem though..."



"I'd say." Fox interjected "This guy shows up outa nowhere absorbs some white haired chick with a scythe and we couldnt even hurt him!"

"Ami...," Brother Light gasped in shock, "If she's been taken by one of her own, then that means..."

"...that poor girl," the priest sadly shook his head, "Mason, there is something you need to know."



"Huh?," Knuckles blinked, "Whatcha talkin' bout, priest?"

"Our guest, Ami, is actually named Shadow Dol," Light retold the girl's story, "The name is familiar to you, isn't it? Her father was the gnome scientist you so soundly humiliated back in Vektor's tournament, and he never forgave you. So great was his anger that he created several ...'children' to bring about your demise, and I presume that whatever Fox and Kaylea just ran into is the culmination of his work. A super-doll bent on killing all of Lenitnes Dol's enemies."

As the words were coming fom brother light's mouth saying that they have been carrying around an enemy that was wanting revnge on one of his friends, and not even being able to notice until something that was said, he stood a little shaken,

"And she was on this ship with us all this time and was planning on trying to kill knuckles once we brought him back from the land of the dead... so should we try to se what is wrong with this or should we leave it as be, being she would have been an eventual enemy. I dont know what we should try to do, being she didnt try to kill any of us... that i know of, but she woul have gone after Knuckles once he got back."

"It's not just one of his creations, It's apparently Dol himself." Kaylea said woridly "At least thats the way Amy was talking, and I don't think she really wanted to hurt you love."



"Well, thats nice, but what are we going to do about him." Fox said exasperation clearly evedent in her voice

"As battled him last, you have, more about his tactics than any of us you should know," Tal looked to Kaylea and Fox.



"Well, except Knuxie," Burk cocked a grin, "He actually fought the brains behind the operation."



"There's not a lot to tell," Knuckles shrugged, "He's a wussy little twerp with a god complex."



"I think you just gave us a lead right there," Zeaken interjected, "He's a coward, and he's smart, so he's going to wait for the opportune moment. No way he'll attack us as a group."



"Unless he feels that his abilities have reached their maximum," Brother Light added, "Then he will likely be very reckless."

"Reckless or scheming, thats quite a large difference in tatics guys... care to narrow it down?" Nurse growled, glancing around rapidly, still on edge from the offseting turn of events with Jacen.

Cellus nodded, stepping to Nurse's side, "She's right you know, unless we can more acurately decifer Dol's plan of action, we'll be no better off than Miss Kaylea and Miss Fox."

During all this, Cecielia stood in the corner, smiling knowingly, finally she stepped into the middle of the group, "I may know how to fix this whole, Dol fiasco... however... the information I'm privy to won't come cheap," she said, an almost disgustingly sweet smile on her face.

Listining to everyones opinions and tryin to think of something to mention about what they might be able to do,

"Well so far from what they gathered, hes been in a state of ~evolving~ himself and now has taken in Ami, so he is now a little more powerful than he was before. If they wernt able to defeat him before he took her in, then its going to be a battle that all of us would be needing to attend if we plan to fight him."

Looking to Zeaken,

"As we noticed from our encounter when we ported to the ground, the battle we had there was just as intense, and we escaped barely with our lives... for the most part. So if this is the front guards persey, then what would be lying in wait for us once we do manage to get past Dol."

"Feusang is no ordinary opponent," Zeaken nodded, clearly ignoring Cecielia, "He was the Grand Master of Gerdheim's military before he and his unit went crusading after the Osiris artifacts. His Darkblade sword style is said to be like fighting a hurricane or pure evil, and if he's managed to amass any of the artifacts and unlock their powers, we may be fighting a god."

"Then we'd best have a 'god' of our own..." Kaylea says looking at the at the cristal bracers that shes been wearing over her own. Pulling one off she walks over to fox and hands it to her.



"Whats this... Ooo" Fox grins taking the bracer "Shiny, but what's it do?"



"Apparently, the temporally fuse the wearers into one being, magnifying their powers substantiually" she explains "And we've proven that we make a good team as individualls, so..."



"You want to try working as one..." the blond speculates "Sure, why not." with that she slips the bracer. and the two women are consumed in a briliant flash of light



"As for Dol he seems highly adept with a scythe as well as being imune to fire and exceptionally hard to injure, also when i actually managed to strike a blast of eldritch energy was discharged from his body."

Not fully comprehending what just happened, Knuckles approached the fused being with a tilt of his head, "Kaylea... that you in there??"

Suddenly she reaches out, grabbing the fist-fighter and kissing him passionatly "Where else would I be love."

"Having settled that," Zeaken raised a brow with a wry grin, "Are you sure you'll have the power to defeat Feusang in your current form, Miss Kay-er, Fo-um, and your name is?"

"Vaneslea." she says "And I should be able to at least give him one hell of a fight."

"Oh good, I'm glad to hear that," an eerily familiar voice cooed menacingly as an emerald figure landed on the deck of the ship, ending his flight, "I was getting bored fighting your weak friends."



"This, I gather, is the monster that heard so much about we have," Tal took a fighting stance, staff on the ready.



"That's Dol alright," Knuckles glowered, putting up his dukes.



"How can you tell?," Burk blinked as he drew his sword, "That looks nothing like a gnome."

"His eyes are the same," Knuckles locked gazes with Eldritch, who himself was having trouble maintaining his composure in light of a sudden anger.

"I trust you gentlemen have everything in order," Brother Light stepped back, letting the big boys go to work in a battle that, clearly, only the strong would survive.



"All hands, battle stations!," Zeaken called to his crew as he drew his rapier, "And now to disassemble this faulty machine..."
