Watching as the cannons open fire on the Azan's infront of him, and seeing Brother Light die infront of him, by one of his previous friends.

'This is almost exaclty what happened the last time, when vincent left us. How can we end this without killing Azan, but not getting ourselves killed.'

Before he readied himself, he has one of the shadows take the body of Brother Light back to the Sunset Arrow to see if there was a healer onboard, if anything else to get the body to a safe distance while they are fighting.

Glancing back over to Zeaken,
"We dont have much time to stay here... we need reenforcements and now..."

Having the other shadow go behind him, and grabhold of him, Cerys and the shadows teleport back to the ship to try to find if any of the crew could revive Brother Light.

Barely rescued in the nick of time as the burning minotaur overshot his attacks just enough to allow Cerys to shadowport him to safety, Zeaken appeared alongside his comrade on the deck of the Sunset Arrow.

"Stop firing at Azan and concentrate on the ceiling above him," the khamele ordered, and the first mate did just that.

As the cannons brought down the room around the minotaur's head, there was nowhere to run. It was too fast, and too much, for any air-breathing, flesh-and-blood mortal to outrun or outlive, even with all that strength.

"I'm very sorry," Zeaken almost whispered as Azan was buried alive.

Back in the jungle room, Jacen, Cecielia, Burk, and Nurse all squared off for a two on two brawl to the death, but Nurse was the quicker!

"You won't be so lucky about surviving this time, buddy," Nurse growled, launching arrow after arrow at Jacen as she began to run a circle around him. Where the arrows hit, vines began to snake down into the ground, attempting the root her foe in place.

Cecielia gasped as the arrows hit Jacen, rooting him to the spot. As he ordered her, she looked at the two grasslanders, then the demon, and finally her own stomach. "I'm sorry, my love, but our child takes priority over you and any vengeance you desire."

She stepped to his side, placing her hands on either side of his head. "If I succeed, you may kill him in exchange for my safe passage away from this place." She called over her shoulder to the pair.

"You don't know the half of it, witch," Jacen released a hollow cackle as a black, ichorous liquid dripped over his lips like blood, "The child is more than just our legacy. I've sensed it... he is what I wish I could be. The beginning of the end!"



"Shut UP!," Burk roared as he lunged forward, impaling the demon on his massive blade who, still smirking, slumped forward in death.

Eyes ablaze, the grasslander turned to Cecielia, "How do we know you won't just find a way to bring him back?! Why should we trust you after all you've done?!"

Cecielia rested a hand on her stomach, glaring at the tall grasslander, "Do you think I'm stupid? Or are you? If I revive that creature now, he'll surely kill me for what I've done." She looked down at her stomach with a soft smile, something scarily uncharacteristic of such a vile woman, "As a mother I must protect my child."

Nurse glared right back at Cecielia, as if appraising the validity of her statements. "I don't know whether to believe her or not, but with Jacen dead, I don't she can escape to preform the ritual any time soon..." she said to Burk, looking up at him questioningly.

Burk hesitated, staring Cecielia down with a painful glower a long time before, finally, dropping the sword, "I don't believe children are born evil. Even if it is the son of a demon and a fiendish woman, it's still an innocent right now..."



About that time, Knuckles walked through the brush, accompanied by Cellus and Tal, "What'd we miss?"

"Ahahaha, what luck!," Eldritch sneered toward Ami, licking his lips hungrily, "I go looking for revenge, and the final piece to my evolutionary puzzle drops right in! How convenient of you!"

"You really have issues dad. First you create my siblings and me to destroy him, then you absorb my siblings -and trying to me- and now, your going mad." Ami growled as she prowled around comming to a stand still in a defensive crouch in front of Kaylea.

"Thanks for the thaught hon." Kaylea says pulling her hands away from the almost molten door "But I can take care of my self" as she drops into a fighting stance her blades suddenly in her hands.




'wait for your moment girl it'll come soon enough, just need to be ready for it.'

"But don't you see?," Eldritch genuinely looked hurt at his daughter's harsh words, "Every step of this was planned from the beginning. It was never about Knuckles McDaniel alone. He is merely a stepping stone on the path to evolutionary greatness! We, you and I, are pieces of a perfect being. Science, trumping God to create what he would have never dared to! Your siblings did not understand, at first, but now, as a part of me, they are privy to my vision, and realize what must be sacrificed for the greater good. Soon, you will know too, my child. Let us... put an end to all this fighting, shall we?"
