"Good point Cellus." she wispers "We should be on guard for anything tho."

"Okay, I'll go first then since I can take a little beating if it comes," Knuckles grunted, walking forward around the corner...









...to find another corner turn leading out of sight.










"Oh, c'mon!," Knuckles roared, trudging around that corner, where he was confronted with a fork in the maze.

"Now what?," he looked to the others.

Following the lead of Kunckles,

"Well this is kinda as anyone would have guessed, one thing we can do, just flip a coin to it."

Looking down each pathway Cerys looks at the left one,
"Though i would say we might still stick togeather, i would figure the left way would be the right way."

Cellus tapped her chin in thought as she looked between the two paths, "We have no clue where these paths may lead, I don't think we can just flip a coin on this one," she said, "I honestly think dividing our forces to cover more ground would be the best course of action at this point."

"Dividing our forces doesn't seem like the wisest course of action to me." she says skepticly "If we all follow the same path, we have all of our abilitys at our disposal should we run afoul more of Grassroots' undead minions."

"I say we go to the right." she says starting the vote.

"Right sounds good to me," Knuckles agreed, "I get a funny feeling when I go left for some reason."



"Something, I sense from the left way," Tal countered, "Unwise, it would be, to leave it behind us."



"I as well," Brother Light sided with Tal.



"I feel that splitting our forces may prove useful, actually," Nevara disagreed, "If we run into trouble, it isn't as if we'll be too far away to aid one another."



"Unless, of course, a trap bars us from reaching one another," Kradu shook his head, "We should stay together, but as to which way we go, I couldn't care less."



"I'll go with whatever you guys decide," Burk forfeited his vote, looking to Cerys, "That makes you the tie-breaker buddy."

'Oh great... leave everything on the cats head... cats are too carefree to be put into something like this...'

Fumbling around for a moment, before coming up with an idea on what to do, being that both of the choices of staying togeather or splitting up... and the choice on which way to go

"Alright give me a moment to think on what to do."

After a moment or so pondering what all to do
"Alright i would think it would be decent for us to stick togeather for obvious reasons, that anything we come up against, we would be able to take over in shorter time, than if we split up."

"As for the direction..." ~pulling out a shuriken, and clawing up one side of it as a visible marker~ "this will let us decide whic way to go."

Tossing the shuriken into the fork's wall where it would point the way:

As the blade ran into the wall, he went up to check the mark on it
"Seems that we go to the Left."

Cellus crossed her arms and pouted slightly, marching off the left without a look behind her. She could be heard angrily muttering something about 'not being logical' as she marched on.

'Best be ready for whats to come.' she thaught drawing her blades lifting herself a few inches from the floor.

"Off we go, ready guys?" she says as she floats after Cellus.

Cellus had only walked part-way down the hallway to the left when a freezing torrent of ice and snow released in a blizzard-like barrage from the wall at both her and Kaylea. There were only moments to act!

The attack caught Cellus completely by surprise, she only had enough time to let out a cry before the projectile knocked her small frame to the ground.

as the wintery blast shoots from the wall tward the unsuspecting grasslander, a burst of intense flame hits the speeding icicles melting them into a cool yet forceful spray of watter that drenches Cellus.

"That was close!" she says with a sigh of releaf, lowering her wand-blade "You alright there hon?"

Cellus blinked in surprise as the expected assault did not come, "Y-yes, I-I'm fine," she stuttered, unharmed but clearly shaken. Wringing out water from the hem of her dress, she nervously retreated to her default position next to Burk where she felt most safe, shaking slightly.

Walking through the cooridor where they stood, Cerys animates his shadow,

"Might as well have something infront of us so if there are any other traps we encounter, we wont be in the line-of-fire so to speak. With this we have a little better reaction time if something did get set off."

Standing his normal posisition in the lineup, sending his shadow forward into the cooridor ahead of Cellus,

"Now we can continue, and this shows how much better we are in as a group... dont you agree Cellus."

Cellus managed to scoot even closer to Burk at Cerys' comment, wereupon she nodded meekly. It seemed she was still very shaken at her brush with danger.

"Well, of course Cerys is never wrong," Nevara huffed, "Such as that time he mounted a successful assault on Rugashi and inflicted significant damage."



"Easy there, Spooky," Knuckles moved between them before a fight could break out, "Cerys has a point; if we're gonna make it through this, we gotta stick together, so let's cut out the fighting eh?"



"I would be inclined to agree with the nekomimi," Kradu interjected his opinion, "By dividing our forces, we not only risk our lives, but precious resources we may come to depend on."



"Well, of course you would agree with whatever causes the most negativity amidst the group," Brother Light fumed.

"Are you attempting to cause a negative situation of your own?," Kradu shot back, the two mages taking a readied stance as they faced each other.

However, just then, the entire room shook, as if something great and powerful were moving behind a nearby wall.



"Passed, has the time where we can afford to stall any longer," Tal boomed as he moved between the two mages.













"I think that's something we can all agree with," Burk nodded, strolling around the corner to the right only to find another fork, "Oh, for crying out loud!"

Before anyone can cast the vote, to make him the one to make the tiebreaker,

"I would say that with this one, we chose a path and either Nevara or I can send a shadow to check for traps in the corridor."

Looking over the group,
"I would say the level headed ones here should come to a decision for us to make, being Knuckels, Tal and Kaylea... they can decide on which way for us to go."

"Okay, well, lets see..." she ponders examining both directions available.

"Well theres left, right and a dead end." she says grimly "I say that we go right rather then leave this unexplored."

"What do you guys think" she wonders turning to Knuckles and Tal.

"Right worked out pretty good last time," Knuckles nodded.



"A majority, this vote has reached already," Tal consented.












The path to the right curved down around a corner out of sight, and the shaking became even louder.

"I really don't like the sounds of that," Cellus muttered, sticking close to Burk as she tried to look everywhere at once, clearly not wanting a repeat of the last trap encounter.

"To be honest, I agree with you Cellus." she says grimly "But whatever this is, I'd rather deal with it now than leave it behind us."

'I knew I should have picked left!' she thinks as she warily creeps forward.

"There's something... moving... around that corner!," Burk pointed toward the right passage at the intersection where he now stood.

Cellus breathing and heartbeat quickened, "I really wish that meant we were going left," she said with a nervous laugh that seemed to hold no humor, only fear.
