The Storming of Marrowbrook Castle (Phoenix City Chronicles)

As she notices the group of adventurers, the red-head trys to quietly get their attention. Shaking her head and nodding tward the ground infront of her.

Cellus let out a gasp, the need to help overtaking any other impulse. She dashed forward, not noticing the motions that the girl made, simply preparing herself to heal the pair.

Sensing that something was drastically wrong here, Tal motioned to Burk, who immediately dashed between Cellus and the muscular ghoul that sprang from the ground just before the tombstone the humans were tied to, deflecting its attack as four more undead monsters sprang from the ground, surrounding the group of adventurers that had wandered into the room.



"Excellent form," the ghoul smiled darkly as he met Burk sword to sword.



"You haven't seen anything yet!," Burk promised through gritted teeth as the ghouls around the room moved into a fighting stance.

Cellus let out a string a curses under her breath, that anyone who knew her would have been shocked to even find out she knew. She assumed her own fighting stance, still looking for an opening in which she could get to the injured newcomers.

As the door swung open revealing the resemblance of a graveyard, Cerys though of the graveyard that he was in a while back, how it had ghosts and skeletons thriving in it.

'Well this isnt going to begin well with this at all...'

Noticing the girl tied up to the cross in the back side of the graveyard, noticing she was bodding her head as in means of warning he tried to get out the words in time, but all too late as Cells started her dash up to them.

As she ran up there and seeing Burk run faster yet behind her, the creature hopped up from the ground, as Burk got there in time he was able to deflect the blade coming down upon Cellus. Watching the rest of the skeleton crews spring forth from the ground Cerys takes a fighting stance preparing for battle.

"If this is your maximum potential," the ghoul captain declared with a smug expression as the shuriken deflected off him as if he were made of a harder metal than they were, "I suggest you run away quickly and hope I don't catch you!"

With that, he thrust a fist into the ground, reversing the earth's current back at Cellus, although the blast was promptly cut off by Burk's superior defensive skill.

"You're becoming annoying," the undead swordsman shot Burk a death glare as he charged his mighty blade with lightning and thrust it into the ground alongside his fist, the attack rising a few feet away to encapsulate Burk in a horrific mesh of mud, metal, and deadly lightning.
