Vengeance (Cerys) - REPOST COMPLETE

   Phoenix City was an anomaly in the world of Circunima; a magical metropolis that ran on arcane energy the way that cities in the present-day Earth ran on electricity. The Grand High Council, elected once a year by the people, oversaw all matters in the city from military defense to trade and economics. It is important to note that Phoenix City was also ahead of its time by being one of the earliest working representative republics in the old world.

   The council, in all their wisdom, often overlooked the smaller details, and no doubt they would not be reading of the events that you, the audience, are about to. On an old and battered boulevard, a little girl was crying for the father she had just lost; an unfortunate victim of criminal activity in the poorer districts, which the council also turned a blind eye to. Perched atop a building, watching with keen and angered eyes, was the little girl's cat. Unknown to her, this was no ordinary feline, and he had sworn to make the three men fleeing down a back alley just now pay dearly for what they had done to his Molly.

Cerys follows the people in the alley by the adjacent rooftops.

'These lowly humans shall pay for their disrespect to my Molly by my hands'

The three men seemed to be in a rush to get somewhere.

"Did you get it?", one of the men whispered to the other so low that only Cerys would hear it.

"I got it! Jeez!", the second one defended himself as they ran toward an old building on the corner.

"Shut up you two! What if someone hears?!", the third glared at them from just ahead.

At that moment, Cerys knew they hadn't noticed him.

As the poisoned stars rained down on them, the thugs looked up.

"What hit us?!", one of them cried out in pain.

"It must have come from the roof!", another groaned.

"Which one do we fire at?", the third asked.

"All of them!", the first one demanded.

"I'm trying! He's all over the place!", another screamed as he fired his bolts at the evasive neko.



"Not like you guys are about to be", a young man called from the darkness. Stepping out from a side alley, a youth doubled up his fists and laid into the ruffians with a flurry of punches.

The two thugs hit managed to shrug off the blow, and surrounded the kid while the third kept his crossbow ready for the neko.

"Time for a nap, junior", one of them sneered.

As Cerys dodges the incoming barrage of bolts, he spotted a new person coming into the frey.

'I wonder whose side this new human is on, he doesnt look like the others, but all types of humans can be bad and good.'

Watches the new guy start hitting the criminals he was following.

'Interesting, i guess hes on my side, or well..... at least not on their side anyways. He may still be a potential threat to me though. Better to keep my distance from him for now until im sure.'

As the poison stars rained down again, two of the men crumpled over; one dead and one out cold.

Seeing this, the youth smirked as he clocked the remaining thug upside the head a couple of times, putting him through a nearby wall.



"Not so tough", the newcomer mused as he cracked his knuckles.

Moving to the ledge of the rooftop, watching the newcomer finishing up the last of the thugs that were standing.

'Interesting, this guy came from nowhere and joined in this battle, hes helping me defeat these criminals with little concern for himself. This guy could become a fellow bringer of justice, if he is willing to help others.'

Pulling out three shuriken *though conceling them* in preperation if the newcomer shows hostility towards Cerys.

"Hey newcomer, are you aligned with those people, or are you a bringer of justice like what I am? Answer in an honest way, for i am bringing these men to justice for bringing harm to a friend of mine."

'Though im showing myself to him, giving away my cover, im dont intend to fight him since he did help bring them to justice unless he is worse then the ones that *we* have just felled by showing hostility to somone who wasnt aiming to harm him. '

"Thought I saw someone up there", the young man muttered as he looked up, "So you're a bringer of justice huh? You look like a cat on a roof throwing weapons at people to me."

Walking over to one of the men, he bent down and pulled out something in wrapping. It was a sword! Cerys remembered that Molly's father was a swordsmith, and that some men had come in last week asking about a particular sword but only offering a fraction of the normal price. It seemed strange that her father had consented to the deal, but it all made sense now.

"All this trouble over a lousy sword; low lifes..."

A little angered at the insult for being called a *normal cat*, but still holding back some.

"Yea so your point being that i may look like a cat, I am a loyal friend to those who these men hurt and threatened. These people pratically robbed my friend's fathers sword shop and took that sword from him. Threatning him and only paying a minute fraction of what it should have been sold at. These people are the same who threatened him and my Molly. Im here to get what they *pratically stole* from my Molly's fathers shop and return it to her."

"Im not one for fights, but anyone hurting my family or friends ill fight for them. As for you, you entered the fight for what looks like no reason other than to fight. Tell me what benifit did this grant you to enter the battle, you would have only hurt yourself with what i know of you now, to gain nothing."

"However if you are planning anything with that sword tell me now, that is what i am needing to take back to my Molly, it is her fathers property, and i wish to return it to her."

At this, the boy's indignant stare turned into a bitter glare; Cerys had obviously struck a nerve.

"Then take your precious sword", he threw the blade in wrapping up to the neko, "And why I do what I do is none of your damn business."

Turning away with a huff, he walked back into the alley he came out of. The sound of a trash can being kicked across the pavement could be heard just beyond the darkness.

Kinda a little off-set by what the newcomer said to him about his own business was his own made him wonder if he would be an eventual ally or enemy. Though he gave up the sword to him makes him look a little more of an ally who would be neutral, being neither helpful or hurtful.... for now.

Catching the wrapped sword that was tossed up at him.



'Well at least he isnt too bad, for the most part. Though could use a little anger management by the way he kicked that can in the other alley. He might be useful in the future if we ever meet up again...'

After getting the sword and watching the stranger leave, Cerys begins to head back to Mollys fathers shop hopping along the rooftops. When Cerys finally arrives back at the shop he looks around and finds a spot to place the sword for now until he can bring Molly up here to get it.

While looking around be sees a small opening in one of the building cooling vents where the sword could fit in. Placing the sword in the vent he ties it off where Molly should be able to reach it with no problem. After tying the sword in the vent Cerys sets off to find Molly, though before going out to look for Molly, Cerys changes into his cat form since he has yet to show his Molly his actual form yet.

When changed fully into his cat form he sets off to look for Molly.

"Cerys...?", Molly called out weakly from one corner of the store. As she ran over and hugged him, he could tell she had been crying a long time, "Cerys, you're my only friend now."

"Meorroooow"

Nips at the big bow trying to get free.

'Now how should i try to get her up to the rooftop to show her what i was able to recover from those criminals.... AHA... when she lets me go ill start walking to the stairways, look back and meow at her... most times she usually comes to me when i meow at her.'

"Hey! That's my bow silly", Molly giggled as he tugged at her bow, setting him down on the ground.

'Well at least i got her to laugh, thats a small start to making her feel better.'

Soon as put on the floor Cerys starts moving in the direction of the stairwell leading to the top-floor, before going up the stairs looks back at Molly

"Meeeooorw"

'I hope this works, when she sees her dads prized sword has been returned she might be even happier. I just hope when trying to lead her up here she doesnt try to grab my tail... again. That hurts when she does that, my tail still tingles from the last time she grabbed it.'

Shudders from the memory of it.

"Aww, what's wrong kitty?", Molly sighed as she followed, "Is your food bowl empty again?"

'Well shes following me this far, its just a little longer until we reach the top, though why does she always think im hungry when i meow... oh well at least im not hungry for long, all i have to do is meow and its free food.'

Continues leading Molly up the stairs to the door leading to the rooftop.

'I hope she is able to open the door, usually this door is locked. If she can open it, it will be easy enough to lead her to the sword since i tied it to a vent with a good string i can pull out, or at least tug on in this form, and she can pull it out when she sees im pulling on something.'

"Cerys, why are we going so far up?", Molly insisted as she followed, shaking her head as she saw him pawing at a door, "That's just storage, little one. I don't know what you expect to find in there, but wouldn't you rather have a nice saucer of milk?"

Continues to paw at the door and meows louder.

'Again with the food.... why doesnt she realise im wanting to try to get in here... maybe if i keep pawing at the door she will eventually let me in.'

Starts to paw at the door with both paws, clawing at the corner of the door.

"Alright, alright", the girl sighed as she cracked the door open for him, "What a dramatic cat..."

Following him in after, she coughed from the dust. Her allergies just now occured to Cerys.

"Where are you going?!", Molly called after him before going into a coughing fit.

'Finally in here, this is where i should be able to tug at the string to pull the sword out.'

Cat-Sneezes a couple times from the dust cloud coming from the room, while noticing that Molly is coughing from the dust.

'Hmm... maybe i should go in alone to retrieve this and try to get her to stay here, if the dust came out this much just from opening the door, it is bound to be worse inside. Though it will take me a little longer she will be fine.'

Looking over at Molly in the doorway Cerys sits down tilting his head, "Meow"

'Hopefully she will get the idea to stay here while i go inside'

"Cerys...", Molly coughed from the doorway, having to turn her head away from the dust, "Cerys, I can't follow in there. Please come out!"

"Come here Cery-", she cut off in the middle of calling him, driven into another fit of coughs.
