Elemental Collide (Experiment)

Tilena Peak, The Miamba Mountains, Southan Continent, Circunima--Present Day

The isolated mountain top was far from Rasilimali Isle and the city it cradles. It was also far from Boitumelo, the trading capital of East Southan. Even Lithia, birthplace of the Order of Ozain and the closest landmark, was far below, nestled in the foothills of the impressive mountain. Every child who learned to read the Order's maps, knew about Tilena Peak. It was the tallest mountain in the whole of Southan. On its top it was rumored that there were deadly elementals who waited for the unwary traveler...or the foolish one.

The ledge at the top was large and almost circular in shape. There were jagged rocks randomly placed around the small field. The small trail that led the way back down the mountain spilled into the field almost by accident. Opposite the trail was a cave protected by a leaning rock.

As she crested to the leveled peak, the icy woman known simply as Rhyme surveyed her surroundings. "So, this is it," she said in a cold monotone to no one "And here I'd half expected to see this place crawling with primals."

Noticing a faint glow and heat shimmer from the cave she walks forward slowly "Well, it seems as though this wasn't a waste of time." she continued in her seemingly trademarked deadpan tone.

As Rhyme approached the cave, an elemental appeared in a burst of fiery glory. Its eyes, barely a suggestion of lighter colored flames, locked onto the cyromancer.

"Go away," the primal howled.

The fire elemental disappeared in a hiss of steam. It sounded exactly like someone tossing water onto a campfire.

"Pathetec." she scoffs walking up to the ice sheet slowly spreading over the ground where the walking inferno once was "This is becoming too easy."

With a look to the horizon her form disolves into the briefest of flurrys heading tward the next peak in the chain and eventually, her next target.

On the next peak, Rhyme found a similiar ledge, a bare expanse nestled near a cave. This one had a group of fire elementals huddled near the mouth of the cave. One saw the epitome of ice landing and retreated deeper into the womb of the mountain.

A braver one--or maybe more foolish--separated from the group to challenge her.

"You! You don't belong here! Get off our mountain!"
