One Eighty (Ami Yuuka)

While the Sunset Arrow continued to sail through the dark storm, the crew grew increasingly restless over not knowing the fate of the passengers or their captain.



"Funny thing, you not goin' with 'em," the old dwarven first mate stopped on his way passing Ami on the ship's railing, "One'd think you've got a reason fer it."

"Do I? One of them will have reason to kill me when he gets back...why rush fate?" Ami said sighing as she looked out into the dark storm.

"Oh no, sister, you won't be dying any time soon," a familiar voice turned Ami's head as Fire Dol landed like a bird in flight on the deck, Water Dol at his side.



"Come along quietly," Water Dol warned cooly, "Father doesn't like to wait."



"Now just a minute," the dwarf walked over, sword drawn, "She's a guest on this ship and as acting Captain, I give the orders here!"

Fire Dol only smirked as the dwarf approached. Ami had seen that look in his eyes before...

"Fire...leave him be. Please. Wheres Earth?" Ami steped between the dwarf and Fire before the crew went down in smoke. "Father can be a patient man Water. He can wait just a little bit longer."

"Funny you should mention that...," Fire's grin widened as Water made a few motions with her hands, a wave swelling up over one side of the boat and dumping Earth, sans his legs from the knees down, on the deck.



"I'm... sorry, Shadow...," Earth winced, his body beginning to shut down.



"Based on previous data, if we wait to apprehend Shadow Dol, she will flee," Water drew her sword, aiming it at the helpless Earth, "A poor strategy compared to luring her to Father with a hostage."

"Dont give me that crap Earth its not your fault." Ami mumbled hugging him before turning back to Water and Fire. "Based to previous data," She mimiked in an irritating voice. "Your a bitch." She finished. "Fire, sadistic as always eh? Youre here...why again? To be...what? punks with attitude? Cuz lemme tell ya, its workin for ya." Ami said grinning.

"Yeah, I guess it kinda is!," Fire's eyes took on a sadistic glint as she provoked him, and in a roaring flash of fire he'd run the dwarf through with his jagged blade.



"Fast... they're... fast," the dwarf's eyes slowly closed, a look of shock still pasted across his face as he fell forward on the blade.

"These mortals die too easy," Fire's satisfaction faded to a look of disdain, and he cast the dwarf over the side of the ship as if no more than a piece of meat on his blade.



"You... dirty!," some of the men surrounded Fire and Water, swords drawn.



"Enough of this!," Water shouted, irritation evident in her tone, "We are wasting time and have no interest in anything but the girl. If Shadow will just come quietly, we can leave the rest of you in peace."

"Ooo I think shes pissy today! Whats up sis? Dont deal well with girls of free will? Watch out boys, my bro is fast and my sis is...bitchy." Ami raised an eyebrow before pulling out her scythe and twirling it like a baton. "Of course I'll help, I mean, she thinks I'll come quiet like. HA!"

"Fire," Water looked to her brother briefly before drawing her blade and sliding into a fighting stance.



"Finally!," Fire mirrored the stance, sword ready.

"I hope she beats your lame attack," Fire laughed, running up just behind it without realizing Shadow was faster, "If she does, I get to kill her myself!"

Ami groans as the wave hits her and the toxic wave of poison floods over her. "Damn it you slut. See what you did to my kimono." She growls.

As Water Dol and Ami leapt back into fighting stances, staring each other down, a crewman suddenly groaned in pain.



"So you wanna be a human eh?," Fire sneered at Ami as he threateningly grazed the tip of his rapier across the restrained crewman's throat, "This is what you want? To be weak and cowardly? Fine! Let Water restrain you and come with us peacefully, or I kill another of your beloved mortals. Show us how a human behaves."



"He isn't bluffing," Water noted cooly, her eyes fixed on Ami with no reaction to Fire's airy and condescending laugh, "You know he loves to see blood. Listen to reason and drop your guard... sister."

"Dont! He didnt do anything! Dont kill anyone else damn it! Just take me and leave them be." Ami growled folding her arms and looking away. "You didnt have to kill the first crewman either...This was our battle not theirs."

As Water stepped behind Ami, her hand glowing with the magical spell that would deactivate Shadow Dol when placed on the back of her neck, her tone was a bit more sympathetic, "Without you, we are incomplete. Father is incomplete. We would go to any lengths to bring you back to us."

With that, she activated the spell, and Ami's world faded to black.
