Nia'an VS Sevus

Nia'an and Sevus waited more or less patiently in their respective rooms at opposite ends of the arena. Through the windows of the locked doors leading out into the great, round area on which they would engage in mortal combat, they heard heard the crowd cheering as the arena's distinguished owner, Lumus Dule, appeared on a balcony high above to announce the next event.



"People, my people," Lumus mused in his usual jazzy tone, his disheveled hair and the escort at his side hinting that he had just come from another event, "Our next battle is new blood, but they look ready to spill it. Are you ready to welcome them?!"

As the crowd erupted in a cheer, he subtly smiled, "In this corner, all the way from a realm known as Xeth, the mysterious Sevus!"



"It's time," Sevus readied himself as he walked out the door.

"And in this corner, a fighter that was rumored to begin appearing soon after construction on this new arena began," Dule continued to hype up the crowd, "From lands unknown, and with an agenda all his own, Nia'an!"

As the door to Nia'an's room rose to shed light in on him, Lumus explained the rules of engagment, "The rules are simple. Fighters will position themselves ten paces apart, facing one another, at the beginning of combat. You may fight to knockout or death. Please give a thumbs up for life or thumbs down for death to indicate your intent as you approach your opponent."

As the fighter across from Nia'an approached the center, he looked right at him, studying him it seemed, before making his decision.

Moveing to the directed position across from his opponent, he bows first to Lumus and then to Sevus giveing a thumbs up. "For honour and glory, shall we get started?" he says drawing his kukri and takeing fighting stance.
